Aston Villa fans are some of the most loyal around.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s comfortable 3-0 win over Reading at Villa Park last night, and offered high words of praise for the club’s fans, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Villans currently sit in fourth position in the Championship table, seven points adrift of second placed Cardiff City, having played a game more than Neil Warnock’s men.

Villa have experienced a turbulent campaign thus far, but their loyal fanbase have stuck by them through thick and thin.

Bruce spoke to reporters after yesterday’s win over the Royals, and chose to highlight how important it is for his team to have the continued support of their fans, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“I’m really pleased about the result and also for the level of support tonight. To see almost 30,000 here on a Tuesday night over Easter is a remarkable turnout. They gave the lads all the encouragement they needed.”

Next up for the west Midlands outfit is a trip to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City on Saturday, and nothing less than a win will do, if they are to have any chance of finishing inside the top two this season.

One thing that is a given, however, is the fact that the Villa fans will continue to back their team to the hilt, whatever happens.
