Aston Villa signed the Dutch winger on loan from Lille.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce spoke exclusively to the club’s official website in the aftermath of his side’s 2-2 draw with Brentford at Villa Park last night, and shared his delight after securing the loan signing of exciting winger Anwar El Ghazi from Lille, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Villans will be desperate to earn promotion back to the Premier League this season, having come so close last term, and the addition of the two-capped Holland international will be a huge boost for Bruce’s side in their quest to return to the promised land.
The west Midlands outfit were certainly short in the wide attacking department, and El Ghazi will help add a certain kind of pace, quality and directness to Villa’s play in the final third.
Bruce spoke to reporters in the aftermath of last night’s draw with Brentford, and talked up the quality of the 23-year-old winger, admitting that he is delighted to have him on board at Villa Park, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“I’m delighted we’ve managed to secure him. He’s a very good player and just what we need as we look to enhance the top end of the pitch. He’s got a good pedigree. He’s played at the highest level. I’m sure the supporters will enjoy watching him.”
Next up for Villa is a home game against Reading on Saturday, and El Ghazi will be desperate to make an instant impact for his new club.
