Sam Allardyce’s Everton side are said to be lining up a move for James Maddison and the Aston Villa boss has just shown why it’d be a bargain buy.

Steve Bruce, Manager of Aston Villa looks on prior to the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Cardiff City at Villa Park on April 10, 2018 in Birmingham, England.

Steve Bruce’s £40 million valuation of Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish in the Express and Star, should show Everton that James Maddison would be a bargain buy.

The Daily Mirror have suggested that Everton want Maddison, who Norwich City are prepared to sell for £30 million.

And if Everton could pick up Maddison for £15 million cheaper than Grealish, he would be a great addition.

Maddison is younger than Grealish by a year, and he has also had a finer season than the Villa man.

Although Grealish has been very impressive this term, Maddison has been one of the stand out players in the Championship.

The Norwich man has outscored and created more assists than Grealish by a considerable margin.

And although £30 million was once considered an exorbitant price for a player plying his trade in the Championship, Everton must now realise that it could be a potential bargain, if the attacking midfielder goes on to fulfil his potential at Goodison Park.
