Aston Villa have the fifth worst away record in the entirety of the Championship.

Steve Bruce has told Aston Villa’s official website that he has found his side’s away form to be outrageous.
Villa have won just four games away from Villa Park all season, and the Midlands side’s struggles on their travels has been one of the major reasons why Bruce’s men have failed to live up to expectations this season.
The claret and blues’ home form is a match for most team’s in the division, but they have the fifth worst away record in the second tier.
And, after Villa were beaten 1-0 by Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in their most recent outing, Bruce was left fuming by his side’s poor record on the road.
“I’ve seen too many times away from home where we’ve seen performances, maybe not as bad as that, but certainly not much better,” Bruce said.

“That’s a huge disappointment for me going forward and going into the summer, there’s still work to be done.
“Winning four games away from home is an outrage really.”
Villa have endured a disappointing season this term, with Bruce’s side never threatening the play off spots.
The claret and blues went into the campaign as one of the favourites for promotion, but didn’t deal with the weight of expectation well.

Villa now have a lot of pressure on them to improve next term, with a top six finish the minimum expectation.
And if Bruce’s side are to make it into the promotion spots next year, then their away form will have to be much improved.
