Aston Villa are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

Newly-appointed Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has revealed to The Guardian what club chairman Tony Xia has told him about his ambition.
Bruce was recently appointed the Villa manager following the departure of Roberto Di Matteo.
The Villans are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
Villa are struggling at the moment and currently find themselves just a point above the relegation zone.

Bruce has been appointed in order to take the Villans up the league table and into the playoffs.
The former Sunderland and Hull City manager has revealed what Villa chairman Xia has told him about his plan for the club.
“He [Xia] said to me that he wants Villa back in the Premier League sooner rather than later,” Bruce told The Guardian. “His plans after that are staggering and he’s got finances to be able to achieve that.”

Villa are one of the biggest clubs in England and should still be considered as contenders for the Championship playoffs.
Xia seems to be quite passionate about Villa, and the players should give their all in the coming weeks and months.
Villa will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Villa Park in the Championship on Saturday evening.
