Aston Villa duo Leandro Bacuna and Albert Adomah are both injured.
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has told the club’s official website that Leandro Bacuna could be out for ‘a few weeks’ after picking up a groin injury.
Villa made the short trip to St. Andrews on Sunday afternoon as they took on fierce city rivals Birmingham City, with manager Bruce returning to face the club he both played for and managed.

When Gary Gardner headed Villa in front with a superb finish, it looked like Bruce would be making it three straight wins, but Villa were pegged back as David Davis saw his deflected shot nestle in the corner of the net.
A point was a decent result for Villa, but they did suffer a major blow as winger Albert Adomah was taken off through injury after just 26 minutes of Sunday’s clash.
The Ghanaian international, signed from Middlesbrough in August, has notched two assists for Villa so far, and made a bright start to Sunday’s game before he had to be replaced by Ross McCormack.
Aston Villa’s Albert Adomah celebrates
With Villa taking on Blackburn this weekend, fans will be hoping that Adomah is fit to play – and manager Bruce has shed some light on his situation, telling the club’s official website that Adomah has a ‘horrible dead leg’.
There’s no timescale on Adomah’s return, but there’s time for him to come back in time for Saturday’s game, even if only as a substitute – still a blow for Villa given how unbalanced they looked without Adomah on the pitch against Birmingham.

Bruce added that midfielder Leandro Bacuna missed the game having tweaked his groin in training the day before the game, and he could be out for a few weeks according to the Villa boss.
“Adomah has a horrible dead leg,” said Bruce. “Leo picked up an injury in training [on Saturday], tweaked his groin a bit. I think he’ll be about for a few weeks. A bit close for Blackburn. That was a bit upsetting because he was starting the game,” he added.
