Aston Villa travel to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City in the Championship today.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce spoke to reporters yesterday, ahead of his side’s clash with Norwich City today, and provided an injury update on Alan Hutton and Axel Tuanzebe, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Villans currently sit in fourth spot in the Championship table, seven points adrift of second placed Cardiff City, but they would have been buoyed by the Bluebirds’ defeat to Wolves last night.

Bruce is under heavy pressure to guide his side to promotion back to the Premier League this season, but the second tier of the English game is arguably the hardest division in the world, and no club has the right to be promoted.
If the west Midlands outfit are to finish inside the top two, they absolutely must win at Carrow Road today, and having a full compliment of players would go a long way to helping them achieve just that.
Bruce spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s trip to east Anglia today, and provided and injury update on two players who missed the 3-0 win over Reading in midweek, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“Alan won’t make it tomorrow, he’s had a reaction to his hamstring injury. With Axel, I purposely left him out against Reading. He’s not played a lot of football all season. Two games in three days was a big ask for him.”
Villa can close the gap on Cardiff to just four points with a win today, and Bruce will be hoping that his side repeat the performance that saw them comfortably beat Reading on Tuesday.
