Aston Villa currently have a number of players out on loan, and Steve Bruce wants to trim his squad next season.
Steve Bruce has admitted to Aston Villa’s official website that every single one of the players which the club have sent out on loan this season are playing for their futures.
Villa already have one of the biggest squads in the Championship, with a sizeable number of players on loan moves.
Bruce is looking to trim his squad for next campaign, and the 55-year-old boss claims that he will be looking to shift some of his players out on permanent moves in the summer.
“We’ve got 10/12 players out on loan at the moment. We’ve got to sort their futures out,” he said.
“We’re spending a lot of money on players who are not even here.
“So, we’ve got to resolve their futures and make decisions in the next four or five weeks.”
Ross McCormack and Jordan Veretout feature among the more notable players which Villa have out on loan.
Veretout has impressed during a spell with St. Ettiene in France, and there has been some suggestions that he could return to the Midlands side next term.
McCormack’s Villa future looks to be over, though. The experienced striker has performed badly for the claret and blues and his move to Nottingham Forest has not sparked an improvement in his form.
Villa also have the likes of Pieluigi Gollini, Carles, Aaron Tshibola and Aly Cissokho out on loan, and all four could be moved on in the coming months.
