The Sheffield Wednesday manager was reunited with Tottenham Hotspur’s Onomah earlier this year.

The Sheffield Wednesday manager, Steve Bruce, has confirmed Josh Onomah is currently back at Tottenham Hotspur.
Onomah, who is on a season-long loan at Wednesday from Tottenham, suffered a hamstring injury during Bruce’s first game in charge of the Owls at the start of this month.
A month-long lay-off was initially predicted for the England Under-21 midfielder, but his loan club’s boss does not expect him to return any time soon.
“He is still receiving treatment at Tottenham,” Bruce reportedly told the Sheffield Star. “It was a pretty nasty one and a shame for him.
“I would think it is at least a couple of weeks before we see him back here.”

Onomah has endured a stop-start spell at Sheffield Wednesday, for whom he last started a game in late December.
The 21-year-old impressed in the wins against Preston North End and Middlesbrough that month, but went on to miss the whole of January through injury.

He previously endured a spell out of the Wednesday side during Jos Luhukay’s spell in charge, although things appeared to be looking up under the Owls’ new management team – led by his former Aston Villa boss, Bruce.
