The Aston Villa manager is a big fan of Jack Grealish.
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce raved about the quality of Jack Grealish, when speaking to reporters, comparing the youngster to footballing legend Paul Gascoigne, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The enigmatic 22-year-old seems to have matured this season, and has played a key role in the Villans’ push for promotion, despite having to contend with a serious kidney problem.
Villa fans have been frustrated by Grealish in the past because of his perceived lack of effort and interest in living the high life away from the football pitch.
He has firmly put to bed any suggestions that he is not fully committed to being a professional footballer this season, however, with some really hard working displays, whilst retaining that little bit of mercurial magic at the same time.
Bruce is a big fan of the midfielder, and told reporters why he reminds him of Tottenham and England legend Paul Gascoigne, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“Jack has a bit of a Gazza about him and I don’t mean off the pitch. It is the way he naturally beats people. He is not that quick but he just gets away from people and seems to get even quicker when he is running with the ball. He has all the natural ingredients and I will do my best with him.”
Grealish is currently out injured, and has not played since his Villa’s win over Birmingham City on February 11th.
Brice will be hoping to have his young star back and available for selection as soon as possible, as his side continue their quest for promotion back to the Premier League.
