Aston Villa won on their travels for the first time in 14 months against Reading.

Steve Bruce has told Aston Villa’s official website that he couldn’t believe it when fans starting singing his name on Tuesday evening.
Bruce’s name was chanted by the travelling Villa fans at the Madejski Stadium, during Villa’s match against Reading.
The claret and blues had over 4,000 supporters in attendance for their match against Reading.

And after hearing the support he was getting from Villa’s faithful followers, he said: “I never thought I’d be hearing that, did you!?
“They understand whatever has gone on in the past is in the past.
“It’s the first time in 20 years that they’ve been complimentary of me. For that, I say thank-you!”
There were some concerns over how well Bruce’s appointment would go down at Villa, due to his Birmingham City connections.

However, the 55-year-old boss has made a good start at Villa Park.
Bruce guided Villa to their first away win for 14 months against Reading and has helped them to start climbing the Championship table already.
Villa are now in 17th place in the second tier standings, with their next match coming against Fulham at the weekend.
