Aston Villa are set to take on Nottingham Forest in Championship action at the weekend.

Steve Bruce has confirmed at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on Aston Villa’s official website, that Scott Hogan should be fit to play against Nottingham Forest this weekend, but both Mile Jedinak and Henri Lansbury will miss out.
Villa were hoping to have Jedinak and Lansbury available to them, to strengthen their midfield options for the Championship clash.
However, the game has come too soon for the injured pair, who are on the verge of making come backs.
Hogan, on the other hand, has shaken off a knock which he picked up in Villa’s midweek defeat to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup, and could feature.

“Lansbury won’t make it,” Bruce confirmed. “Scott we think will be okay. Jedinak, it’ll be too early for him too.”
Villa go into their encounter against Forest after winning their last Championship match 3-0 against Barnsley.
There is hope that the claret and blues’ victory at Oakwell will kick start their campaign, after what has been a slow start.

Villa are currently positioned in 13th place in the Championship table, with the pressure building on Bruce to start putting a run of wins together.
If Villa are able to beat Forest tomorrow, they could move up as high as eighth in the second tier standings.
