Aston Villa are due to take on Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend.
The creative duo have been kept out from Villa’s last two matches, and they have been badly missed.
Villa had won seven matches in a row before Grealish and Adomah were ruled out, but they have failed to win since.
And Bruce has suggested that the creative duo could be sidelined for a while yet.
He said: “If I was a betting man then I’d say they were both unlikely to make the weekend.
“We’ll see how they are I still think Saturday might be too soon.”
Bruce’s confirmation that Grealish and Adomah are still out is the worst news possible for Villa.
The pair have been two of the claret and blues’ star players this term, and they simply do not look as much of a threat without them.
Villa must get back to winning ways quickly, if they want to keep pace with the automatic promotion chasers too.
Villa are currently in third place, but they could fall four points behind Cardiff City, if Neil Warnock’s side are victorious tonight.
