Jonathan Kodjia scored twice for Aston Villa in their latest victory against Cardiff City.
Steve Bruce has told Aston Villa’s official website that Jonathan Kodjia proves how good he is in every match he plays.
Kodjia was Villa’s hero in their most recent match, as they managed to get past Blackburn Rovers.
The claret and blues’ most expensive summer signing first scored from the penalty spot, before tucking home the winner late on.
And Bruce feels that there is still more to come from the former Bristol City man before the end of the season.
“Jonathan Kodjia has just started,” Bruce enthused. “You only have to come and watch him to see what a good player he is. He’s got that trick in his locker.
“What he does do very well for us is he enjoys playing on the side.
“A lot of French teams play with a striker on the sides rather than a winger.
“Albert Adomah is winger, he gives you something different.
“Jonathan Kodjia is a centre-forward who plays wide and does it very well.”
Villa had fallen behind against Blackburn when Sam Gallagher struck for Owen Coyle’s side, but Kodjia’s double ensured that Bruce’s side continued their fine form since his appointment.
The Scottish boss has now taken 11 points from the 15 available to him, to help Villa move up the Championship table.
Villa are now in 14th place in the second tier standings, and they are closing the gap to the play offs.
Bruce’s side are next in action after the international break, when they take on promotion chasing Brighton & Hove Albion.
