Alan Hutton played well for Aston Villa against Sunderland in the Championship this week.
Hutton has been playing well for Villa in recent weeks and seems to have established himself as a key player for the Villans.
The 32-year-old former Rangers star was one of the Villans’ best players during their Championship game against Sunderland at home on Tuesday evening.
The right-back produced a strong display at the back against the Black Cats, as the Villains won 2-1.
Villa manager Bruce has spoken highly of the Scottish defender, and told the club’s official website: “Defensively, Alan Hutton has done fantastically well over the last five or six weeks in particular.
“He never lets you down. He trains properly, works hard and is a true professional. I’m delighted for him.”
Villa are gong strong in the Championship at the moment, having recovered from a slow start to the season.
The Villans are very much in the race for the playoffs and could even challenge for the automatic promotion places.
Bruce’s side are fourth in the league table at the moment with 32 points from 18 matches, just five points behind second-placed Cardiff City.
Villa will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Ipswich Town at Villa Park in the Championship.
