Aston Villa managed to beat Barnsley 3-1 in their latest Championship match.

Chester had been struggling with the flu, but fought off illness to feature in Villa’s outing against Barnsley.
And Bruce admits that by the end of the contest, Chester was really struggling.

“James played with the flu really and he looked like it towards the end,” Bruce said.
“All my staff have been sick, my doctor’s had it, my second in command has had it, the staff have had it, they’ve all had it!”
Despite Chester’s illness, the Welsh defender still managed to impress and helped Villa pick up another victory.

The claret and blues have been in good form of late, and dispatched with Barnsley in a comfortable 3-1 win.
Villa scored their goals through a brace from Scott Hogan and a tidy finish from Conor Hourihane.
Bruce’s side have now won their last four league matches in succession, and strengthen their bid for promotion.
Villa are currently in fourth place in the Championship table, and they are starting to put pressure on the top two.
