Newcastle United lost 3-1 at Norwich City on Saturday.

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has told The Chronicle that Joelinton was ‘very sore’ in the dressing room after the defeat to Norwich City.
The Magpies travelled down to Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon to take on the newly-promoted Canaries, looking to bounce back from the 1-0 opening day defeat to Arsenal.
However, Bruce saw his side turn in a torrid performance, with Teemu Pukki smashing a hat-trick to put the hosts in cruise control, before Jonjo Shelvey pulled one back for Newcastle.
Newcastle struggled throughout and couldn’t contain Daniel Farke’s side, and Magpies fans are already starting to worry about their side after just two games.
Newcastle have no points, their one goal was a consolation against a newly-promoted team, and Bruce can’t get his attacking options clicking.
That goes for new boy Joelinton too, who looked promising against Arsenal but offered little against Norwich, and squandered a golden chance in the first half, heading wide when he should have hit the target.

The Brazilian went off injured in the second half with a hip problem, and it’s now unclear whether he’ll be able to face Tottenham Hotspur next week, and that’s a major concern given the lack of other real attacking options at Bruce’s disposal.
Bruce admitted after the game that he doesn’t know the severity of the injury, noting that Joelinton was ‘very sore’ in the dressing room, and adding that Newcastle are light in terms of true centre forwards given that Andy Carroll is out too.
“We don’t know (how serious it is) until he has scans or X-rays,” said Bruce. “He’s very sore in the dressing room at the moment. We’re a bit light in that department with the injuries we’ve picked up in that department. We just have to see, hopefully it’s not too bad,” he added.
