Aston Villa snapped up striker Tammy Abraham last week.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has told The Express and Star that he has ‘no doubts’ that Tammy Abraham will be a ‘very good’ signing for the club.
Villa endured a difficult opening to the summer due to their financial woes, but the investment of Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens has helped manager Bruce in the transfer market.
Orjan Nyland, Jose Moreira and John McGinn all arrived before the permanent deadline in August, whilst loanees Anwar El Ghazi and Yannick Bolasie have joined as massive coups in recent weeks.
Villa found room for one more top signing before Friday’s loan deadline, as striker Tammy Abraham joined the club on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.
Abraham, 20, hit eight goals in 39 games for Swansea last season, and his Championship record with Bristol City – 23 goals in 41 games – shows that he could fire Villa to promotion this term.
The 6ft 3in striker already has two England caps, but has taken the shock decision to drop down into the Championship in order to play first-team football with Villa this season.

Now, Villa boss Bruce has spoken to The Express and Star about Abraham, and offered a confident prediction that Abraham will be a ‘very good player’ for Villa, but reminded everybody that he can’t be Villa’s saviour on his own, and everybody must improve as a team whilst allowing Abraham to gain momentum.
“Tammy is one to excite the fans. He will be a very good player for us – I have no doubt about that,” said Abraham. “But we can’t look and think ‘he’s going to be the saviour’. You play football as a team. You have to win as a team – it’s not an individual game. He will make us better individually but we have to play better as a team for him to gain the necessary momentum,” he added.
