Steve Bruce offers Aston Villa starlet Keinan Davis advice after ‘meteoric’ rise

Keinan Davis has made a very bright start to life at Aston Villa since establishing himself in the first-team.

Steve Bruce has suggested that Keinan Davis will continue to get better after what he describes as a meteoric rise, but insisted that he needs to keep his feet on the ground, the Express and Star reports.

Davis has been excellent for Villa this season, scoring twice and contributing an assist for the Championship high-flyers less than two years after he was signed by the Villans from non-league outfit Biggleswade Town.

His rise into the first-team – he only made his debut for the club earlier this year – has seen him move onto the radar of Premier League clubs, with The Sun recently reporting that Manchester United, Arsenal and Everton are all interested in signing the 19-year-old.

And Bruce has heaped praise upon the teenager but insisted that he now needs to remain focused on getting better rather than getting carried away – which may perhaps be in reference to any speculation surrounding his future.

“I thought Keinan made a difference on Sunday. He came on and gave us a physical threat up the pitch,” he said, as reported the Express and Star.

“When you’ve got that, use it. He’s mobile and has a big future.

“He can only get better as long as he keeps his feet on the ground.”

“Certainly he’s had a meteoric rise,” he went on to add.

Davis will surely realise that right now, Villa has to be the best place for him. He is featuring regularly in the first-team for a team that is performing extremely well in an incredibly tough division – and moving to the Premier League at this stage of his development may perhaps do him more harm than good at this stage.
