Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin is known his speed and trickery – but FIFA 22 may just show Steve Bruce as being faster.

FIFA 22 drops today for players who pre-ordered the game, with EA early access coming to an end.

Ratings and clips have been shared for weeks now, but one recent video involving Newcastle boss Bruce has gone viral.

One player seemingly won a penalty shootout with Newcastle, sparking wild celebrations at St James’ Park.

As the Magpies squad celebrated, boss Bruce came sprinting onto the pitch, outrunning substitutes.

Few had even seen Bruce running at that kind of pace in his playing days, never mind now!

Newcastle star Saint-Maximin not impressed

Bruce was trending on Twitter as a result of the clip, and Saint-Maximin has now had his say.

The Frenchman has 93 for pace on FIFA this year – not 91 as he has suggested on Twitter – but he has been left baffled by the Bruce clip.

Saint-Maximin jokingly asked EA Sports just how on earth Bruce was given 99 pace.

You may not have Bruce charging down the flanks in your FIFA side, but you can absolutely cause mayhem with Saint-Maximin.

You almost feel that Newcastle fans will be trying to take games to penalty shoot-outs though, just to see that Bruce moment again and again in their own games.
