Aston Villa have badly disappointed this term, with Steve Bruce falling under increasing pressure.

Bruce has been in management a long time, but there are few stages of his career that he has been under more pressure than he currently is.
Villa have been majorly disappointing over the first few weeks of the new campaign.
And Bruce feels that his side’s tendency to make so many errors at the back is costing his team.
“I have never known so many mistakes,” Bruce said.
“We must have conceded six or seven times out of mistakes which is practically unheard of. We probably made six mistakes all last year.
“We could quite easily be higher up, without the mistakes we have made.
“We could have quite easily won at Ipswich. We could have quite easily won at Bristol. We didn’t and it means the pressure comes on you.”

Villa went into the campaign with renewed optimism, following the takeover midway through the summer.
Bruce was allowed to bring in some talented players, but Villa’s form has not reflected the quality of their squad.
The claret and blues have won just one of their last eight outings in the Championship, with concerns rising.
Villa are next in action later this evening, when they take on Preston North End at home.
