Ahmed Elmohamady joined Aston Villa in the summer, seeing him work with Steve Bruce at a third different club.

Before the summer began, you could have almost predicted that Bruce would make an attempt to land the 30-year-old, having worked with him during his time in charge of Hull, and Sunderland before that.
And Bruce did manage to bring the utility man in during the window, with the Express and Star reporting that he cost just £1 million. He has since gone on to make 10 Championship appearances and has arguably done extremely well in various roles down the right flank.
And Bruce expressed what a pleasure it is to have a player like Elmohamady in the ranks given his professionalism and reliability.
“The one thing about Elmo is he trains every day, doesn’t go in the gym,” he went on to add.
“In seven or eight years I cannot remember him missing a match.
“He trains every day as if it is his last. He is a great pro.”
His form certainly suggests that he will prove to be a bargain signing, with three assists coming already this term, including two in his last four games.
And defensively, he has helped the Villans go on a sensational run of five clean sheets in their last six league games which has put them right on the cusp of the play-off spots after a lacklustre start that hinted that it was going to be another frustrating year for Bruce’s men.
