Davis has been thrown in at the deep end at Villa, and has been forced to lead the line regularly, due to the club’s injury problems.
In truth, he has probably been made to make the step up before he was completely ready, yet the prospect has coped well.
And, given the speed of his progression at Villa already, Bruce is definitely correct to keep him around for the years ahead.
