The Newcastle United manager was speaking after the side’s win over Hibernian at Easter Road on Tuesday night.

The paper had last week suggested the player could be set for a move to Paris Saint-Germain. The goalkeeper was subsequently left out of matches against Preston North End and Hibernian.
That further fuelled speculation that a St James’ Park exit could be on the cards, with the 30-year-old said to be frustrated that new contract talks have been delayed.
However, Bruce insists nothing untoward is going on and that the goalkeeper was always planned to be rested for the last two friendlies having featured against West Ham in China.
As quoted by The Daily Mail, the new Magpies boss said of the situation: “He is fine, he is a top keeper.
“It was always my aim to give the two lads (Freddie Woodman and Karl Darlow) the 90 minutes in these two games, he is our No 1 keeper.
“All the stuff circulating is not true. We are delighted we have him. There is nothing sinister at all.”
Dubravka is a key figure at Newcastle and played in all 38 of the club’s Premier League games last season, helping keep 11 clean sheets.
Having conceded fewer goals than any other team in the bottom half of the top-flight last term, it’s important for Newcastle that there’s some defensive continuity ahead of the new campaign.

Dubravka is a strong presence in the dressing room and a fan favourite.
No surprise then to here that Bruce has no interest in letting him leave this summer.
In line to feature against French club St Etienne this weekend, fans will be hoping there is no serious late interest before the transfer window shuts.
