Steve Bruce has told BBC Radio West Midlands that anybody who says he doesn’t care about Aston Villa is categorically wrong.
Bruce has faced criticism in his early time at Villa Park, with some supporters suggesting that he doesn’t have enough passion to manage the club.

However, Bruce insists that nobody can accuse him of not being determined to succeed at Villa.
“There’s been accusations of myself that I’m not bothered. That could not be further from the truth,” he said.
“It’s the biggest challenge I’ve ever had and the best club I’ve ever had, so I’m determined to turn it around.”
Villa have still not won a match in 2017, and they were beaten 3-1 by Barnsley in their most recent outing.
Barnsley took the lead in the first half from the penalty spot, and the confidence seemed to drain out of Villa’s team.
Although Jonathan Kodjia did hit the back of the net, Barnsley ended up coasting to victory thanks to goals from Adam Armstrong and Tom Bradshaw.

Villa are now only seven points above the drop zone, and they are looking nervously over their shoulders.
Bruce’s side are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
