Abraham opened his account for Villa on Tuesday night.

Steve Bruce has told Aston Villa’s official Twitter account that he was particularly impressed by new signing Tammy Abraham after he opened his account against Rotherham United on Tuesday evening.
The 20-year-old, who joined Villa from Chelsea on a season-long loan, scored in what was his second appearance for the Midlands outfit with a cool finish after being put through on goal by Jonathan Kodjia.
Villa earned their first win in seven matches thanks to Abraham and fellow new signing Yannick Bolasie, who headed home an Ahmed El Mohamady cross in the final 10 minutes.
Speaking after the match, Bruce was quoted by Villa’s official Twitter account as saying that Abraham has a big future at Villa Park after hitting the ground running.
“I’m sure he will be delighted with the goal,” Bruce said. “It’s the first time Tammy has played back-to-back games since last December. So, he can only get better. He’s a very, very good, young player and I’m sure he will have a big future here.”

Abraham, who played for Swansea City in the Premier League on loan during the second half of last season, is no stranger to the Championship after netting 22 goals in 40 second-tier appearances for Bristol City in 2016-17.
He is now expected to start his third consecutive match for Villa on Saturday, as Bruce’s side play host to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon.
