Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has had a miserable year on loan at Sunderland, looking a long way from the talent who broke through at Manchester United in 2013/14.
The Telegraph report Manchester United are open to listening to offers for the Belgian this summer, who has just one year remaining on his contract.
For Januzaj, finding a manager who believes in him is essential, as is playing for a team who are not struggling, so that he has the freedom to express himself.
For that reason a drop down to the Championship would be a good move, and joining Aston Villa could be the dream ticket, with the side hoping to battle for promotion this season.
Villa boss Steve Bruce is a manager who has spoken glowingly about his potential.

Speaking at a press conference reported by Goal in 2014, then Hull boss Bruce talked up Januzaj’s chances of being a success.
He said: “We see the young players they’ve got, Januzaj in particular. That kid’s going to be a superstar, isn’t he?
“If he keeps his feet on the ground, which I’m sure they will do here, then he’s got everything, the boy.”
Januzaj hasn’t quite got there, with his career beginning to unravel after Louis van Gaal took over.
He is three years removed from his breakout season, but is still only 22 and needs the right move to turn his career around.
Getting the chance to add flair to a competitive Villa side and supply the prolific Jonathan Kodjia could be just what the youngster needs.
