Aston Villa still have two weeks remaining until the loan window closes.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce spoke to the media today ahead of his side’s trip to Portman Road to take on Ipswich Town tomorrow, and provided an update on his transfer plans, naming the two key areas where he wants to strengthen before August 31st, as quoted via the club’s official YouTube channel.
The Villans have actually begun their Championship campaign in fine form, winning both games so far, but Bruce should be under no illusion regarding his need to bolster his ranks at Vila Park before the loan window slams shut at the end of the month.
The Championship is a long, hard and physically punishing division, and Bruce will undoubtedly need to add some fresh blood to his ranks at Villa Park.
The 57-year-old addressed the media during his pre-match press conference today, and shared how he wants to add a wide player and a new striker to his squad before the loan window closes, as quoted via the club’s official YouTube channel:

“By the end of the window, we will hopefully have another two or three bodies over the line which will give us a hand. We’re light in wide areas at the moment. We’re certainly light at the top end of the pitch, so we’re light in a few areas, and that’s what we will try and address.”
If Bruce does manage to bring in two or three new faces, Villa will be in a great position form which to earn promotion back to the top flight.
