Aston Villa are set to take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has promised to play his strongest side against Tottenham Hotspur, as per his comments on the club’s official website.
Villa are set to travel to White Hart Lane on Sunday in the FA Cup, and they are major underdogs.
Tottenham have been in wonderful form recently, and are challenging for the title in the Premier League.
However, Bruce wants to give his Villa side the best possible chance of causing an upset and insists he will pick his best team.
“Yes. Of course I will,” Bruce said when asked whether he will pick his strongest line-up.
“We will give it our best shot.”
Tottenham may use the opportunity to rest some of their players, after a busy Christmas period in the fixture.
Spurs played Chelsea on Wednesday night, and will be wary of burn out as they challenge for the title.
Villa, meanwhile, could be set to hand a debut to goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
Johnstone joined Villa on loan from Manchester United earlier this week, and he is now set to take over as Bruce’s number one goalkeeper.
