Aston Villa can still sign players on loan before the deadline on August 31st.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s 1-0 victory over Yeovil Town in the second round of the Carabao Cup last night, and insisted that he is still keen to strengthen his options before the loan window closes on August 31st, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Villans have begun this season in fine form, winning both Championship games they have played, as well as progressing through to the third round of the Carabao Cup.
They were far from impressive last night, however, and it was clear to see that Bruce needs to add more strength in depth before the loan window slams shut.
Quite who Villa will bring in to the club, though, remains to be seen.
Bruce spoke to reporters after his side scraped through against Yeovil Town last night, and admitted that he is desperate to bolster his ranks at Villa Park before the end of the month, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“We’ve got plenty to work on and we know that so we will still be active in the next couple of weeks. We can still activate the loan market and we have got one or two things in the fire. We’ll try and do that and strengthen because we’re still a bit short of where we should be.”
Following Villa’s takeover last month, they are in a far stronger position financially, so they will surely be able to pay fairly substantial wages to whichever players they want to bring into the club on a temporary basis.
And if they do manage to strengthen their squad, they will have a great chance of earning promotion back to the Premier League this season.
