Aston Villa fell to a 1-0 defeat against Cardiff City in their most recent outing.
Steve Bruce has criticised Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish through his comments in the Birmingham Mail.
Grealish was selected to start for Villa against Cardiff City in their most recent match, and was the victim of some rough house tactics from the Welsh side.
Cardiff have fouled Grealish a staggering 17 times in the two matches that they have played against Villa so far.
However, Bruce feels that the 21-year-old’s reaction to the constant fouling went against him.
Grealish was guilty of dramatically protesting when he was fouled by a Cardiff player, which wound the home fans up.
And Bruce said: “I’ve just said to him there he cant just keep waving his arms around because we don’t want to see it in this country.
“We don’t want to see it from one of our really good young players that in the end he gets booked and it puts you on a knife edge. But he’ll learn. He’s only young.
“He’s got to learn not to react like he does.
“All good players get kicked and he has to accept that will happen.
“We don’t want to see the reaction that gets everyone else going.”
Cardiff ended up beating Villa 1-0 on New Year’s Day, with Bruce’s side putting in a disappointing display.
The claret and blues were unable to break down Cardiff’s defence and slipped to a damaging defeat.
Villa are now in 12th place in the Championship table – seven points behind the play off places.
