Aston Villa’s Scott Hogan is reportedly wanted by Sheffield United in the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Sheffield United are interested in signing Scott Hogan from Aston Villa, but Steve Bruce’s comments about the Republic of Ireland international suggest that the 26-year-old will not leave.
Earlier this month, The Sun reported of interest in Villa star Hogan from Championship rivals United.
It was reported by the British tabloid that the Blades want to sign the forward on loan from the Villans in the summer transfer window.
However, Villa manager Bruce’s comments suggest that he is not planning to part company with the 26-year-old, who can also operate as a winger.
Hogan is injured at the moment, and Bruce hopes to have him back after the international break in September.
Bruce told The Birmingham Mail in regard to injuries to Keinan Davis and Hogan: “We’ve still got to be patient but I’d still envisage that before they come back to the group we’re hoping that after the international break they’ll be there or thereabouts.”

Aston Villa stay
Hogan joined Villa from Brentford in January 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million.
The forward scored six goals and provided two assists in 19 Championship starts for the Villans last season, according to WhoScored.
While the Republic of Ireland international has not been a massive success a the Villans, as the season progresses, he could play an important role and pop up with important goals.
