Steve Bruce comments on Aston Villa’s form after international breaks.

Steve Bruce has told a press conference, streamed on the club’s Facebook page, that Aston Villa’s form after the international break is a concern for him.
Wolves ended Aston Villa’s four-match winning streak at Molineux last week to deny Bruce’s side a spot in the top six.
That was the Villans’ first game since the most recent round of international games, with the West Midlands side drawing 0-0 with Brentford after coming back from the last hiatus in September.

Bruce saw five of his first-team squad travel abroad for their respective national team and Under-21 equivalent on that occasion.
And the veteran manager admits that Aston Villa’s form after these breaks is a slight worry for him.

“Our worst two performances have been on the back of playing coming back from international duty,” he told a press conference.
“Some have obviously been tired, playing one game or two games, or being over to Africa, so that’s a bit of a concern. But look, it’s behind us.”
The Villans look to right the wrongs of last week by beating Fulham at Villa Park tomorrow.
Victory could see Bruce’s troops climb into the top six, depending on other results.
