Steve Bruce has praised Aston Villa’s attacking midfielder Jack Grealish.
After returning from injury, Jack Grealish is playing a massive role for his club as Aston Villa aim to secure promotion to the Premier League.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is an exciting young talent, but his lack of consistency has come under criticism in the past.
However, this season he has put in a strong effort to improve his game, and has been tremendous in the last seven or eight games.
He has registered four assists already, and has a goal to his name. He was superb against Barnsley and Burton in Villa’s recent matches, but took his game to a new level against Birmingham City last week.
Steve Bruce, the Villa manager, has praised him highly, and is happy with the progress the young player is making this season.
“We all know Jack has had the ability to do it, consistency-wise, but the last six, seven, eight games he’s reminded us of what a good player he is,” said Bruce, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
It is no co-incidence that Grealish’s impressive form has helped Villa secure seven consecutive Championship victories.
Meanwhile, ahead of Villa’s trip to Craven Cottage, Bruce is sweating on the fitness of Grealish, who picked up a slight knock in the last match.
