The 27-year-old is undoubtedly Aston Villa’s best player at the moment.
Steve Bruce has told Aston Villa’s official website that the injury to in-form marksman Jonathan Kodjia is not “anything serious”.
The 27-year-old striker scored twice on Saturday as Aston Villa maintained their fine start to life under Bruce by beating Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Villa Park.
But the victory was soured a little when the Ivorian forward left the field on 74 minutes with a suspected injury, replaced by Ashley Westwood.

Bruce has had five games in charge of Aston Villa and Kodjia has netted five times, meaning that an injury to the former Bristol City hitman could be detrimental for the Villans.
But the 55-year-old manager confirmed to the club’s official website that his red-hot striker should be okay following his injury.
He said: “It’s just a kick, thankfully. Hopefully he will be okay. We don’t think it’s anything serious.”

The West Midlands club keep marching on under the former Hull City boss, who has four promotion wins under his belt, with two different clubs – the Tigers and Birmingham City.
Remarkably, they are now just five points behind sixth-placed Leeds United and the race for the playoffs is very much back on the cards following an abysmal run of form under sacked boss Roberto Di Matteo, who managed one victory in 11 games.
