Aston Villa have been rocked by Jonathan Kodjia being ruled out with injury.
Villa are currently lacking in options up-front, and they are relying on youngster Keinan Davis to stay fit.
The claret and blues have recently lost Jonathan Kodjia to a long-term injury, and the Ivorian striker joins Scott Hogan and Gabriel Agbonlahor on the treatment table.
Ross McCormack has also been sent out on loan, which means Davis is Villa’s only available senior striker.
And Bruce admits that he is hoping that no more injuries strike until January, when he will be able to address the problem.
“Hopefully we manage to cope until January, and then we’ll see if we can do something to try and help the squad,” Bruce said.
“We won’t have millions to spend because of Financial Fair Play.
“But three players in particular this year, Robert Snodgrass, Josh Onomah and Sam Johnstone, have all come on loan.
“So you don’t have to spend millions all the time. It’s more difficult to find loan players, of course, but that’s where we are.”
Davis has made a fine start to life on his breakthrough season at Villa, but he is now shouldering a lot of responsibility.
Bruce will have to hope that the prospect can cope with the pressure, as his side have been in excellent form of late.
Villa have climbed up to fourth place in the Championship table, and started to put pressure on the top two.
Bruce’s men are next in action this weekend, when they take on Ipswich Town.
