Steve Black has praised Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Newcastle United custodian Freddie Woodman on social networking site Twitter.
Well-known football coach Black, who has worked at both Sunderland and Newcastle, has spoken highly of the duo.
Pickford is 22 years of age and is playing well for Sunderland in the Premier League at the moment, while Woodman is only 19 and is currently on the books of Championship club Newcastle.
Black was impressed with Pickford’s performance for the Black Cats against Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League at the weekend.


Sunderland are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and could get relegated at the end of the season.
The Black Cats are currently at the foot of the table with just five points from 11 matches.
Newcastle, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, are three points clear at the top of the Championship table at the moment.
Sunderland will take on Hull City at the Stadium of Light after the international break, while Newcastle will face Leeds United at Elland Road.
