Liverpool are into the quarter finals of the Champions League having beaten RB Leipzig 2-0 in Budapest on Wednesday night.
The Reds won the first leg 2-0, and picked up another win as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane both found the net in a comfortable win over the German side.
Jurgen Klopp’s side head into the last eight of the competition, and the win comes at a perfect time after another testing Premier League defeat on Sunday.
Liverpool lost 1-0 at home to Fulham in a shock defeat, meaning they have now lost five home league games in a row – a bizarre run under Klopp.
Picking up a big Champions League win last night should give Liverpool players some confidence, whilst there is now some time to rest ahead of Monday’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
After the final whistle, Klopp embraced centre back Nat Phillips with a big hug – something that has become well-known of the German boss during his time at Anfield.
Pundit and ex-Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock spotted the moment, telling BBC Sport that the embrace between the two was ‘huge’, summing up the relief after a big win.

Warnock urged Liverpool to build on this win moving forward, having wasted a similar springboard with their first leg win last month.
“There are huge smiles on the faces of the Liverpool players, it is like a huge weight has been lifted off their shoulders tonight,” said Warnock. “The embrace between Jurgen Klopp and Nat Phillips was huge too, it was almost like it was a relief to Klopp too.”
“Liverpool have to build on this. The performance in the first leg was big, going into the Merseyside derby, but then they were flat after it so you’d expect the senior players and staff to be saying this is the springboard now, this is what we’ve been waiting for,” he added.
