A number of old faces returned to the pitch as Rangers legends and Liverpool’s legends locked horns on Saturday at Ibrox.

Stephen Warnock has honestly stated on Instagram that he doesn’t class himself as a ‘legend’ after featuring for Liverpool’s legends during their 3-2 win against Rangers over the weekend.
In a throwback to yesterday, a number of old faces made a return to the pitch at Ibrox, including the likes of Patrick Berger, Luis Garcia, Carlos Cuellar and Sasa Papac, to name a few.
Gers manager Steven Gerrard first donned the colours of his boyhood club, Liverpool, before he received an even better reception when he returned to the pitch wearing the colours of the Light Blues.
Nonetheless, this was the message Warnock sent from his personal Instagram account, as he was grateful to be playing for two great causes and playing alongside his hero’s.
As mentioned above, one of the standout moments for the Ibrox crowd was seeing their manager wear their colours and represent Rangers on their pitch.
Unfortunately, Gerrard couldn’t have much of an impact, as all five goals that were scored on the day came in the first half, with former England striker, Emile Heskey netting what turned out to be the decisive goal of the game.
Nonetheless, there will be some Liverpool supporters who will be keeping an eye on how Gerrard is fairing in Scotland because there could be the chance that he may lift some silverware this season.
Rangers, who thrashed Hamilton 5-0 before the international break, are currently sitting top of the Scottish Premiership table.
