The Burton skipper is impressed with Leeds United’s performance this season, and said that they have improved from last season.
The former Leeds United left-back has tipped his old club to mount a serious promotion bid, and said that they have added quality players in this summer.
Thomas Christiansen replaced Garry Monk as the club’s head coach, and a summer of major redevelopment saw 16 new players arrive at Elland Road.
Leeds United have made a brilliant start to their 2017/18 Championship campaign, and are unbeaten after six games.
They registered their first home win of the Championship season on Saturday after beating Burton 5-0.
One of the new recruits, Pierre-Michel Lasogga, scored twice on his debut as Leeds produced a scintillating performance.
Warnock is convinced that Leeds will be at the top end of the table come May. He has praised Christiansen for bringing in a “good style of play”, and said that there is a very positive feel around the place at the moment.
“They’ve brought a lot of quality into the squad,” Warnock said, as quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post. “You hope you can keep it tight for the first half-hour and weather the storm but they’re a good team. There’s no doubt about that. I’m sure they’ll be at the top end of the table come May.
“The manager has brought in a very good style of play and without being disrespectful to Garry Monk, they’ve improved on last year. Whether that’s down to the players who’ve come in or the manager who’s changed things – just being in and around the place, there’s a very positive feel and they look like they’re building well.”
