Luke Murphy joined Burton Albion on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window.

Murphy joined Burton on a season-long loan deal from Championship rivals Leeds in the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Burton and helped them stave off relegation to League One at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Former Liverpool and Derby County defender Warnock, who was on the books of Leeds from 2013 until 2015, has spoken highly of Murphy.
“I like Murphy,” said Warnock about Murphy on The Noel Whelan Show on BBC Radio Leeds last Friday evening (6pm, September 8, 2017).
“I have played with him obviously at Leeds. I know what he is about. He knows how to play here and what the manager wants of him and what’s expected of him, and he does that to a T here.”

Leeds are doing quite well at the moment and have some wonderful midfielders, and it is hard to see how Muphy could get into the team when he does return from his loan spell next summer.
The midfielder has been successful at Burton so far, and perhaps it would be best for him if he leaves Leeds for Nigel Clough’s team on a permanent basis next summer.
