Mohamed Salah scored for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool against KRC Genk on Wednesday.

The former Liverpool defender believes that the Egypt international forward’s performance in the Champions League was “poor by his standards”.
The Reds got the better of KRC Genk 4-1 away from home in Belgium to maintain their chances of progressing to the knockout rounds of Europe’s premier club competition from Group E.
Warnock told BBC Sport: “The weighted pass from Salah is lovely, and he hasn’t had that all night. He’s been poor by his standards. But we know that you can’t switch off against world-class players because they have that ability to find that one key moment.”
Warnock added: “It’s brilliant play from Mohamed Salah for his goal. He’s got his back to goal but chops the ball inside, pulls it onto his right foot and pushes it into the far corner. It’s a fantastic finish.”

Disappointing display?
Salah was far from his best against KRC Genk, but the former Chelsea attacker did manage to contribute to the win for Liverpool.
The 27-year-old provided the assist for Sadio Mane’s goal in the 77th minute and also found the net 10 minutes later.
According to WhoScored, the Egyptian took three shots, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 65.6%, took 49 touches, and made one tackle.
One suspects that Liverpool fans will be pleased with Salah’s performance on Wednesday.
Even when he is not at his best, the forward still seems to be delivering the goods for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
