The ex-Liverpool star says the Scottish defender has exceeded expectations in a big way.

Stephen Warnock has told Liverpool’s official website that even Jurgen Klopp must be surprised by how important Andy Robertson is at Anfield.
The Scotland left-back had a stunning second season on Merseyside and bagged 13 assists across all competitions last term which, for a defender, is a staggering number.
Even more astonishing is the fact that Klopp signed the former Hull City man for only £8 million two years ago [Irish Independent].
Warnock told Liverpool’s official website: “When he first came into the club, I don’t think at the time anyone would have predicted just what he has gone on to achieve so far and the level he is playing at.
“Would Jürgen Klopp have thought that? I’m sure he would have thought he would have gone on to a certain level, but to the level he actually has?”
Klopp’s signing of Robertson is a big reminder that you don’t necessarily need to spend mega money on the world’s finest players. Of course, the 25-year-old wasn’t world class at the time, but right now he is firmly in the bracket, having helped Liverpool to Champions League glory earlier this month.
Such is his quality, CIES now value the Reds star at potentially £80 million, and another big season under Klopp next time around will no doubt cause that figure to increase once again.
