It’s been over a month since David Turnbull’s move to Celtic fell through.

Stephen Robinson has told The Record that David Turnbull was the real victim of the botched transfer between Motherwell and Celtic this summer.
The 19-year-old midfielder was on the brink of joining the Hoops in a £3.25 million deal – a record payday for the Fir Park club.
But Turnbull’s move to Celtic collapsed after a knee injury was discovered during the medical, with the youngster later undergoing surgery on the problem.
The Scottish Sun have reported that Turnbull will miss the rest of the calendar year as a result of the injury.
And Robinson admits that he felt sorry for the player whose dream of joining the Bhoys was not only dashed, but now he’s laid up for the next five months.
He told The Record: “David’s was something I have never encountered before. We thought we’d got an incredible fee for a talented player but the adversity that came after that was very difficult to deal with.
“It was even more so for the boy. It was more for David to cope with. He doesn’t give very much away, he’s a cool customer. I spoke to his mum last week and she doesn’t get much out of him either.
“We can only imagine how David felt when he found out it wasn’t happening, especially for a boy who’s never had an injury before. Handling that, mentally, must have been really tough.”
The good news is that it was previously reported that Celtic would still be interested in Turnbull when he is fighting fit again – and they won’t have to pay any more than was already agreed [The Scottish Sun].
He scored a brilliant 15 goals in 30 Premiership outings last season and could have made a real impact in Neil Lennon’s side had things been a little different.
