Glasgow Rangers midfielder Stephen Kelly came on during the Gers’ emphatic League Cup win at Ibrox on Wednesday.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to laud Stephen Kelly after the midfielder took to social media to celebrate the fact that he made his senior debut for the Gers in their Scottish League Cup win on Wednesday.
It was a stunning night for Steven Gerrard’s side as they cruised into the last four of the competition with a 4-0 win over the Scottish Championship leaders Ayr. A brace from Glenn Middleton and goals for Nikola Katic and Alfredo Morelos helped the Light Blues to the emphatic win.
What was particularly impressive about Rangers’ win was the amount of changes that Gerrard was able to make. One of the changes led to Kelly coming on in the final 21 minutes for his senior debut for the club.
Kelly is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in what is unquestionably an incredibly impressive academy system, and he was recently rewarded with a new contract at Ibrox.

And Gerrard has now provided another indication that he sees the midfielder enjoying an incredibly bright future by including him in the side for the game on Wednesday.
And after the game, Kelly took to social media to comment on making his debut as well as the victory, and that prompted a number of Rangers fans to congratulate him on his senior bow. Former Rangers youngster Jordan Thompson was also amongst those to send Kelly a message on Twitter.
