Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic reportedly want to sign Scott McKenna from Aberdeen in the summer transfer window.

Celtic are reportedly interested in signing McKenna from Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen in the summer transfer window.
According to BBC Sport, the Glasgow giants’ initial offer of £3.5 million for the defender has already been turned down by the Dons.
The Daily Record has claimed that the Hoops are considering making a new bid for the 21-year-old defender.
Former Aberdeen star and Scotland international Glass has suggested that McKenna could leave for another club in the January transfer window.

Glass told The Sunday Post about McKenna: “Sean Dyche saw him at close quarters twice but went and spent bigger money on another player.
“I think the reason is that middle-of-the-road Premier League clubs can’t go and spend however many millions on a player who is a ‘maybe’.
“So strangely, it’s more likely to be a bigger club that will maybe take a punt on Scott, without needing him to come straight into the side and start every week.
“It might end up being a mid-season one, when a club maybe loses a centre-back to injury or to another club.”
Back for Scott McKenna?
With the summer transfer window set to close soon, it is hard to see Aberdeen sell McKenna, as they would struggle to find a suitable replacement.
Perhaps Celtic should go back for the Scotland international in the January transfer window.
McKenna is a very talented and promising young defender who would be an asset for the Hoops.
