Stephen Elliott reacts to Sunderland win against Plymouth Argyle

Jack Ross’s Sunderland won against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, with Lee Cattermole and George Honeyman the goalscorers.

Stephen Elliott has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Sunderland’s win against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday afternoon.

Sunderland got the better of Plymouth 2-0 at the Stadium of Light in League One.

Lee Cattermole put the Black Cats in the lead after 32 minutes, and George Honeyman made it 2-0 to the home team on 87 minutes.

Former Sunderland forward Elliott was following the match, and he was pleased with the final result.

Elliott has also praised the performances of 30-year-old defensive midfielder Cattermole, 33-year-old midfielder Grant Leadbitter and 32-year-old winger Aiden McGeady, claiming that the former Celtic star was on a different planet.

The win against Plymouth means that Sunderland are now third in the League One table with 68 points from 34 matches.

Jack Ross’s side are just two points behind second-placed Barnsley, who have played 35 games, and seven points behind leaders Luton Town, who have also played 35 matches.
