Jack Ross’s Sunderland won against Doncaster Rovers on Friday.

Stephen Elliott has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Sunderland’s win against Doncaster Rovers at home on Friday afternoon.
Sunderland enhanced their chances of winning automatic promotion to the Championship at the end of the season with a 2-0 victory over Doncaster at the Stadium of Light in League One.
Lewis Morgan put the Black Cats in the lead after just seven minutes, and 26-year-old striker Charlie Wyke doubled the advantage in the 32nd minute.
Former Sunderland forward Elliott was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for the Black Cats.
The former Republic of Ireland international forward has praised 31-year-old defensive midfielder Lee Cattermole for his performance against Doncaster, and believes that Wyke – who joined Sunderland from Bradford City in the summer of 2018 for an initial transfer fee reported by The Sun to be worth £500,000 – was outstanding.

Sunderland are third in the League One table at the moment with 83 points from 42 matches.
The Black Cats are just two points behind second-placed Barnsley, who have played 43 matches, and seven points behind leaders Luton Town, who have also played 43 games.
