Former Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is reportedly wanted by Newcastle United.
Former Sunderland forward Stephen Elliott has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s reported interest in appointing Steve Bruce as the manager.
According to The Chronicle, Newcastle are interested in appointing former Sunderland boss Bruce as their new manager following the departure of Rafael Benitez at the end of last month.
The report has claimed that the former Aston Villa manager has agreed a deal in principle with the Magpies.
It has also been claimed that Newcastle are still awaiting the green light from Sheffield Wednesday to make the appointment.
According to BBC Sport, Bruce has resigned from his managerial role at Championship club Wednesday.
Former Sunderland forward Elliott has suggested on Twitter that he does not see the fuss if Newcastle appoint Bruce as their new manager.
Meanwhile, former Wednesday defender Jon Newsome has given his take on Bruce’s current situation at the Owls on Twitter, and he seems to have criticised him for how things are at the moment.
