Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez has been making the news this morning for his goal celebration against Watford on Sunday evening.

The 27-year-old forward scored for Wolves in the 62nd minute of their FA Cup semi-final tie against Premier League rivals Watford at Wembley Stadium in London.

It was the Wanderers’ second goal of the tie, and Nuno’s side looked set to make it to the final of the prestigious cup competition.

After scoring the goal, Mexico international forward Jimenez pulled on a wrestling-style mask to celebrate.

Watford, though, staged a stunning comeback thereafter, and won the tie 3-2 after extra time to book their place in the final of the FA Cup.

Former Watford striker Luther Blissett has criticised Jimenez for his goal celebration on talkSPORT, but Stephen Elliott is having none of it.

The former Wolves forward has responded to Watford legend Blissett’s comments on Twitter, and has defended Jimenez from criticism for how he celebrated his goal against the Hornets.
